Helmet Decals

A number of manufacturers made waterslide decals of the various Civilian Defense Corps units. These decals could be easily slid onto a helmet. Most follow the standard size set out by the Office of Civilian Defense, but a number are oversized.

Period photos and surviving helmets also show decals were often added upside down or tilted. This is especially the case with the Air Raid Wardens’ triangle emblem.
