When a Control Center receives word that a bomb has fallen and not exploded, a Bomb Reconnaissance Squad is dispatched to the scene. They verify the bomb’s location and recommend the method of removal. Disarming and removal is handled by the US Army Ordnance Bomb Disposal Service.
